Before the painters arrive, please:

• Take down any artwork and photos on the walls that will be painted.
• Remove any books, knickknacks, plants, etc. from the tops of dressers, tables, counters and shelves in the rooms to be painted.
• Where possible, remove small pieces of furniture, floor lamps and plants, from the room 

Want to save some money? Here’s what you can do to reduce the painters’ prep time (and time is money):

• Remove all furniture from the room.Take down blinds and window treatments.       
• Remove outlet & switch covers. Remove towel bars, light fixtures, etc.
• Wipe off the tops of baseboards and other horizontal surfaces.
